Insurance Policies
6.1 Policy Terms
All policies are governed by the detailed terms, conditions, endorsements, and exclusions set out in the policy documentation. You must review these documents carefully to understand the scope, limits, and obligations of your coverage.
6.2 Temporary and Short-Term Cover
SpareSafety specialises in short-term motor insurance. These policies are non-renewable and automatically expire at the end of the selected term, except where explicitly extended in writing.
6.3 Cooling-Off Period
Where applicable, you may cancel a policy within 14 days of inception or receipt of policy documents (whichever is later) to receive a full refund, subject to no claims having been made or notified.
6.4 Accuracy of Information and Duty of Disclosure
You must disclose all material facts that a prudent insurer would regard as relevant to the risk. Failure to do so may render your policy void or lead to claim repudiation.
6.5 Policy Amendments
Requests to alter policy details—such as adding named drivers, changing vehicles, or adjusting cover limits—are subject to underwriting approval and may incur additional premiums or fees.
Payments
Premiums are payable in full at the time of purchase, unless otherSpareSafety agreed in writing.
All transactions are processed securely; SpareSafety does not retain full payment-card details beyond the minimum required for regulatory compliance.
Premiums are expressed in British Pounds Sterling and include any applicable Insurance Premium Tax (IPT).
Failure to remit payment may result in coverage suspension or policy cancellation, with all legal consequences thereof.
Cancellation and Refunds
Cancel within any applicable cooling-off period to receive a full refund, provided no claims have been made.
Outside that period, refunds (if any) are calculated on a pro-rata basis, less any administrative fees as set out in your policy schedule.
Submit cancellation requests in writing via the channels specified in your policy documentation; refunds will be processed within 14 business days of confirmation.
Claims
Report incidents promptly, in accordance with the timeframes and procedures in your policy documents (usually within 24–48 hours).
Cooperate fully with SpareSafety and its agents, providing all requested information, evidence, and assistance to verify and assess claims.
Claims may be subject to investigation by third-party experts or investigators; any misrepresentation or fraudulent claim may be referred to law-enforcement authorities.
SpareSafety reserves subrogation and recovery rights against third parties to recoup any amounts paid under your policy.
